    • Any student currently enrolled within the SMUSD and wanting to transfer to the independent study program (grades 6-12) must complete the online residency verification for their current school first.  Once submitted, contact your current school (see contact list below) and let them know you would like to transfer to Foothills School.
    • Your current school will send the referral information to Foothills School.
    • You will receive an email notification from the Foothills School registrar within 5 days of the referral being received (or in early August 2024 if you are applying for an August 20, 2024 start date) with information regarding the orientation meeting and course selection.
    • All students new to the SMUSD, must complete the online registration for their home school first.  Next, contact the home school (see contact list below) and let them know you would like to transfer to Foothills School.
    • The home school will send the referral information to Foothills School.
